Hey there friends, Palo here. Today’s piece is rather simple: a curated list of comfy airport outfits brought to you with elegance in mind. As a frequent traveller, it’s common to get swayed by the stress of booking tickets, packing, getting your visa or passport on time, and many other things to plan for. One thing that I’m certain is a hassle for almost everyone is packing – and not only for clothes that you’ll be wearing once in your destination, but also for the flight.
Am I going to be suffocating in this sweater? What if I get cold on the plane? But this makes me look like I just got out of bed! What am I supposed to wear?
-A quote that’s been repeated many, many times. By yours truly.
Looking polished while staying comfortable has always been the ultimate challenge. Well, not anymore, my loves.
In this post, I will be sharing some inspiration for chic airport outfits that aren’t your pyjamas.

Overview of what pieces to wear
Tops for comfy airport outfits
First things first, the top. No matter what country you’re flying to or from, planes are generally kept cold for safety reasons.
For trips starting in colder environments: If you’re like myself and you don’t like carrying around too many jackets with you around the airport, opt for a long-sleeve top that you know will keep you on the warmer side if need be.

On the other hand, if you’re flying from a warmer city, go for a short-sleeve that can be layered. As you can see below, it doesn’t have to be boring or ugly!

Layers for comfy airport outfits
Layers are FUN! Light, oversize, fit, warm, they come in all shapes and sizes – and they help you stay stylish by adding some extra texture or colour to your outfit. Whatever you style may be, there’s always something for everyone when it comes to layers: airy caftans, big cardigans, light jackets, and the list goes on.

Pants for comfy airport outfits
The bottom is usually where people tend to slack on. It’s so easy to look like you’re in your pyjamas when wearing things like sweatpants or leggings, but as you can see you have so many other options when you start looking outside the box.
If you enjoy a more fitted look, look into capri trousers, stretch jeans, or culottes.

Want the ultimate comfort? Opt for palazzo pants or any other wide-leg pants.

Footwear for comfy airport outfits
Running shoes are not welcome aboard! Just like everything else mentioned above, shoes can be both very cozy and very stylish. Go for a simple pair of white sneakers (or black, however you see fit – just keep in mind that white sneakers tend to look more feminine), or even comfy loafers and flats.
